Clio Area Senior Center

The Red Hatters is a social club for ladies and are known for wearing red and purple.  They meet every other month at various locations and enjoy  going out to plays, restaurants and various other locations.

Come join our talented quilters on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

The Romeo's meet the third Thursday of each month and go out to eat.  Romeo stands for Rowdy Old Men Eating Out!  All you need to do is wear a plaid shirt.  All men are welcome to join this group.  No dues!  No commitments!  Just food, friends and good conversation are the requirements for this group!

Check e-mail, explore the internet, or come in and use a computer. The computer lab is open during our normal business hours (8:30am until 4:30pm Monday through Friday).  Volunteer assistance is available on Monday afternoons.

Tuesday nights from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy dancing, singing and a great opportunity for socialization. $3.00 at the door and ring a dish to pass.

This class focuses on learning line dance routines and getting the basics.  Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m.

Walk a mile with us in the safety of the senior center.  M, W & F  at 10:00 a.m.

This class meets on Tuesdays  at 1:00 a.m.

Tuesdays from 2:00 to 4:00

This is a chair exercise class that is about 45 minutes in length.  It's very good for those who want to keep their joints moving.  Classes meet on  M , W & F  at 10:30 a.m.

Bring a mat and join us for floor stretching exercises.  This 45 minute routine will help keep you limber.  Thursdays at 10:00 a.m.

If you have difficulty getting on the floor, join us at 10:45am for Chair Yoga!

This group meets Mondays at 6:15 p.m. for weigh-in and the meeting is at 6:30 p.m.  Monthly fee is $5.00.  This is a supportive group if you are working on losing weight.  There is also an annual fee of $24.00.

Yes, the pool table is ready!  Come and join Fred for a game of pool!  The game room will host pool players on Thursday afternoons beginning at 1:00.  Come and join the fun!

Every Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m. there are several tables of Euchre.

Once a month we receive Big Apple Bagels compliments of Dr. Frank Radtke.  We move the morning each month so that different groups get the benefit of the bagels.

We celebrate all the birthdays of the month on the third Thursday each month at our noon meal.  Come and join us and celebrate the years of "life experience" you've had.  Birthday flowers are donated by Floral Expressions.

A Jigsaw Puzzle is always available in the lounge area.  Come work on the one here or take one home!

We have Wireless Internet available at the center.  If you have a laptop, you can access your own computer here at the center.

Our new library has books available to read, trade, exchange or buy.  Our volunteer Librarian will keep the shelves organized and up to date.

Every Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. you can enjoy visiting and carving with the woodcarvers.  If you'd like to learn, they will help you get started.  If you are already a carver, bring along your current project.

The Flint Rock and Gem Club meets the third Thursday each month at the Senior Center.  This group explores a variety of avenues of the Lapidary Arts.  These includes stone cutting and polishing, jewelry making and collecting gems.

Enjoy music?  Come and join the Bell Choir on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.  Prior knowledge of music is not required.  There is no fee.  Plan to come and enjoy music.

If you like to sing, come and join us for about 45 minutes of singing many old favorites.  This group meets on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.

The Flint Poetry Forum meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m.  Come early and join us for lunch at noon.  Please call to reserve your seat by noon the previous day.

We have started a Scrabble Club on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.  If you enjoy playing this game....come join us.

Every Friday after lunch you'll enjoy penny bingo.  We play seven games.  You need 28 pennies.  Don't have any?  We'll give you some.  The cover-all prizes are donated by Floral Depot and June's Floral Company.  Come join in the fun!
